# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes like you spent way more time making it than you actually did.
  • The herbal notes make it feel sophisticated enough for guests, but it's so easy you can make it in your pajamas.
  • No alcohol required, but nobody will miss it—the citrus and evergreen combination is genuinely addictive.
02 -
  • If you infuse the herbs for longer than five minutes, they'll turn bitter and overpower everything else you've done—set a timer and trust it.
  • Chilling your glasses beforehand keeps the drink cold longer, which means you can actually enjoy it without it becoming watered down before you finish.
03 -
  • If you can't find fresh rosemary or thyme, don't make a substitution out of desperation—that's when you'll regret it—wait until you have the real thing or go with a different recipe.
  • The secret that changed everything for me was realizing that bruising herbs instead of crushing them releases the oils without leaving little green bits floating in your drink, which feels cheap and looks unpolished.
