01 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk and mixed berries. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook for 2–3 minutes until berries soften.
02 - Use a fine-mesh sieve to strain the berries, pressing gently to extract juice. Return the berry-infused milk to the saucepan.
03 - Add chopped chocolate, cocoa powder, and sugar to the saucepan. Whisk continuously over medium-low heat until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and steaming (do not boil).
04 - Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
05 - Pour into mugs. Top with whipped cream, extra berries, and shaved chocolate if desired. Serve immediately.
